If you’ve been following our blog for a while, you may have noticed how often we refer to Bengal Cats as “unique.” From their cosmetic patterns to their quirky attitudes, these cats are truly rare. But we don’t mean that a Bengal cat is simply a rare breed. Each Bengal cat shares a few similar, yet uncommon characteristics; however, each one has something different that makes him or her special.
While you can generalize about Bengal cats, it’s hard to say that “all” Bengal kittens like to do one thing or dislike another. However, you can take it from us. Since we’ve seen many different Bengal kittens and cats, you better believe we have a general idea of what most of them do and do not like.
One common question about Bengal cats is whether they enjoy or loathe water. Most cat breeds have an unfavorable opinion of being submerged in or sprayed with water. However, you’ll often hear that Bengal cats “love” being in water. Is there any truth to that? Well, it depends on the cat.
Most Bengal cats do love being in water, due to their bloodlines. They’re bred from Asian Leopard cats, which will mean that most love to swim and play in the water. Some Bengal cats even like to fish and hunt in streams.
Don’t be alarmed if your Bengal jumps in the shower or tub with you. If you want to avoid this, you’ll have to shut the door because the only thing Bengal cats like more than water is their human!
